We are looking for colleagues to work on Research and Development activities related to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in our company. The position involves navigation, sensor fusion, and the process of developing the design and software of autonomy algorithms.
Job Description
-Develop state estimation algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, conduct accuracy analyses, and enhance navigation capabilities.
-Process data generated by sensors in unmanned aerial vehicle systems, and develop sensor fusion algorithms.
-Design and implement sensor calibration algorithms, advance testing and documentation processes.
-Work on sensor selection, anomaly detection, and navigation autonomy systems.
-Work on filter designs, specifically on Kalman filters.
-Work on precise positioning algorithms.
-Develop relative positioning algorithms for landing on both stationary and moving platforms.
-Conduct documentation work for developed algorithms and software.
-Design safety-critical algorithm designs for reliable flight, develop navigation software, and ensure integration.
-Prepare and conduct functional tests for developed software and navigation algorithms, analyze algorithms, and report findings.
-Plan and participate in flight test activities.
-Conduct flight analyses and evaluation activities.
-Contribute to the development of software and hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems.
-Keep up with current technologies in the field of control and navigation systems.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Control and Automation, Aerospace/Space, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
-Strong mathematical skills in areas such as linear algebra, vectors/matrices, trigonometry, coordinate transformations, signal processing, and statistics.
-Knowledgeable in observer design and development for linear and nonlinear systems.
-Familiar with sensor fusion algorithms.
-Knowledgeable in inertial navigation algorithms.
-Basic knowledge of flight dynamics and aviation.
-Understanding of system dynamics and mathematical modeling.
-Proficient in MATLAB and Simulink tools.
-High analytical thinking ability.
-Team player, with the ability to work independently and high self-motivation.
-Research-oriented and responsible.
-Proficient in technical English for writing and reading for research and documentation.
-High level of technical report writing and visual presentation skills.
-Adaptable to a high work pace and flexible working hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
-Pursuing or completed a Master's or Doctoral degree in relevant fields.
-Involvement in university team projects during undergraduate studies for new graduates.
-Experience in working with Kalman filters.
-Experience in working with GNSS and IMU systems.
-Experience in hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems.
-Development of software for real-time systems.
-Proficiency in programming languages such as C or C++.
-Ability to develop well-designed, testable, efficient, and sustainable software.
-Experience in working with sensors and estimation algorithms.
-Familiarity with software version control and tracking systems, preferably Git.
