Document Controller
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in document control, preferably in aviation industry, or project management environment.
- Proficient in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good knowledge of English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a disciplined team environment and collaborate with engineers, managers, and other project stakeholders.
- Ability to stay updated with industry developments and adopt best practices in document control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing document revisions and version control.
- Conscious of responsibilities and duties, with the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Capable of coordinating with other teams related to assigned responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Istanbul.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in working with drawings, technical documents, and specifications.
- Preferably has at least 5 years of experience working in a similar role within a large-scale project.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle management and industry standards related to document control.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Establish, manage, and maintain an organized document control system, ensuring all project documents are accurately filed, updated, and archived.
- Ensure timely distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders and track the flow of documents within the organization and with external parties.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards and procedures.
- Maintain version control to ensure all documents are up-to-date and manage revisions, ensuring the latest versions are distributed.
- Facilitate quick retrieval of documents as required by project teams and stakeholders.
- Generate regular reports on document status, including pending approvals, revisions, and distribution status.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to manage document exchange and ensure all parties have the latest information.
- Ensure that all documents comply with company policies, project requirements, and relevant industry standards.
- Utilize document control software and systems to maintain digital archives and facilitate efficient document management processes.
- Support the project management team by providing accurate and timely document control services and ensuring the project meets all documentation requirements.
