As the Structural Manufacturing R&D unit, we advance the manufacturing and integration methods of composite materials through innovative approaches in order to meet the critical requirements of our aircraft. We systematically translate global trends in manufacturing technologies into in-house projects, ensuring that our capabilities remain at the forefront of the industry.
In the verification phase of these processes, our Structural Test and Validation Team, operating under the umbrella of our unit, validates the mechanical strength and life-cycle performance of the developed structural components through advanced testing methodologies.
Through these comprehensive testing and validation activities, we certify the compliance of our manufacturing processes with applicable standards and ensure the highest level of structural reliability for our aircraft.
The purpose of this position is to determine the most suitable manufacturing parameters for the production of composite parts and to provide guidance for the flawless implementation of these processes on the shop floor. It also involves researching next-generation composite material systems and adhesive technologies that meet structural performance requirements, validating their suitability through testing, and integrating them into the production line.
In addition, the role includes conducting root cause analyses of technical issues encountered during production and integration phases and developing permanent corrective solutions. Furthermore, it aims to contribute to a sustainable manufacturing infrastructure by transforming R&D-validated production methods into technical specifications and procedures.
To take an active role in research and development projects in the defense and aerospace sectors within the field of composites, and to contribute to project preparation and project management activities in material and process development.
To design experiments related to material research and characterization.
To manage verification and technical approval processes through testing, analysis, and simulation methodologies.
To communicate test findings and recommendations effectively with project teams.
To technically investigate the root causes of structural defects that may arise during production, integration, or testing phases, and to develop corrective solutions.
To transform developed engineering solutions into institutional know-how by formalizing them as standard work instructions, procedures, and technical specifications.
To establish the technical interface between structural analysis, design, and manufacturing units, and to provide feedback on design-for-manufacturability aspects.
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering (a Master’s degree is preferred),
Strong academic or technical background in materials science, polymer technologies, and composite materials,
Knowledge of material characterization techniques (e.g., DSC, TGA, DMA, etc.) and mechanical testing methods,
Interest in aerospace materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and defense industry standards,
Advanced proficiency in English, with the ability to follow international R&D literature and publications, prepare technical reports, and lead meetings within international collaborative projects,
Solution-oriented mindset with experience in failure analysis, root cause identification, and technical troubleshooting processes,
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications for data analysis and reporting,
Strong communication and representation skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams,
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and flexible working hours,
No restrictions on travel for fieldwork or project-related assignments.
