• Working on gear manufacturing methods, precision gear tolerances, advanced lubrication and fluid systems, gear testing, gear bearing systems, engagement of rotating systems, spline design, and gear modifications,
• Making design decisions by considering mechanical and thermal loads acting on components,
• Ensuring design validation by incorporating analysis results as design inputs,
• Performing improvement and optimization activities for relevant systems and components,
• Developing manufacturable designs compatible with production methods,
• Ensuring concurrent evaluation of designs with manufacturing, quality, testing, and assembly teams,
• Participating in product tree and assembly structure activities,
• Conducting technical evaluation processes with suppliers and performing compliance and interface checks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering,
• Proficiency in part and assembly design using 3D CAD software,
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T – ASME),
• Engineering background in structural and thermal behavior of mechanical systems,
• Awareness of integrating analysis outputs into the design process,
• Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturability principles in aviation or engine systems,
• Strong analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving skills,
• Well-developed 3D thinking ability,
• Attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy,
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation,
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and a results-oriented mindset,
• Open to innovation and motivated for continuous development,
• Ability to work interactively across teams,
• Proficiency in technical English (reading and writing),
• Residing in or able to reside in Istanbul,
• For male candidates, no military obligation for at least 1 year.
Candidates are expected to complete their applications by selecting one of the three engineering tracks listed below, based on their interests and competencies.
Turbofan Mechanical Design Engineering
• Considering dynamic requirements of rotor systems,
• Strength characteristics of structural and static systems,
• Kinematic behavior of moving components,
• Thermal and structural characteristics of hot-section components;
We are looking for team members who can perform overall mechanical design of turbofan engines and manage processes from design to assembly.
Gear Systems Design Engineering
• Designing gearboxes in line with project technical requirements, modeling gears, designing bearings for support systems, and taking responsibility for subsystem design,
• Determining gear quality levels and performing precision tolerancing,
• Performing performance analyses, static and dynamic strength analyses, and life/fatigue analyses of gear systems in compliance with standards,
• Finalizing gear designs by considering lubrication calculations, gearbox vibration, and environmental effects.
Engine Accessories Design Engineering
• Taking part in the design of hydromechanical components such as pumps, valves, actuators, and fuel metering units,
• Working on engineering problems encountered in electrohydromechanical and similar components at micro (wear, lubrication, cavitation, sealing issues, etc.) and macro (performance losses, system integration, reliability, etc.) levels.
• Knowledge of aviation standards (e.g., MIL-STD, FAA, SAE),
• Experience with CATIA software,
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (machining, casting, welding, additive manufacturing, etc.) and familiarity with design processes,
• Knowledge of basic engineering analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, FEA/CFD tools),
• Master’s or PhD degree,
• Preferably at least 1 year of work or project experience in similar roles is considered an asset.
