At Baykar, a leading force in the National Technology Initiative, we develop domestic and national high-tech Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems and create a global impact with proven platforms. With our end-to-end engineering approach from R&D to production, we continue to undertake projects that push boundaries.

Our Unit:

This unit carries out the design, analysis, integration, and verification activities of weapon systems and their mechanical, structural, and hydraulic subsystems for aircraft developed within Baykar. End-to-end engineering studies are conducted throughout all processes, from conceptual design to mass production, considering performance, weight, cost, and functionality criteria.

Position Objective:
The aim is to design mechanical, structural, and hydraulic subsystems related to weapon systems, create system architecture, contribute to analysis and integration processes, and verify developed solutions in accordance with relevant standards.

What Awaits You?

  • Conceptual and detailed designs of weapon systems, pylons, pods, and hydraulic subsystems,
  • Performing analytical calculations for mechanical and structural designs,
  • Creating hydraulic system architecture, selecting subcomponents, and conducting placement studies,
  • Preparing 2D and 3D part, assembly, and system designs,
  • Developing designs in line with strength, static, and functional requirements,
  • Conducting literature research and preparing technical reports,
  • Selecting standard parts,
  • Defining test requirements for systems and equipment, monitoring test activities, and analyzing results,
  • Conducting integration activities in the R&D process,
  • Preparing part and assembly documents, procedures, checklists, maintenance manuals, and illustrated part catalogs.

General Qualifications:

  • Graduates from Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Shipbuilding Engineering, Materials Engineering, etc. departments of universities,
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical, structural and/or hydraulic system design,
  • Possessing knowledge of strength of materials, statics, machine elements, mechanism technology and materials,
  • Able to perform 2D and 3D CAD design,
  • Knowledgeable about manufacturing methods, assembly processes and measurement methods,
  • Knowledgeable in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T),
  • Experienced in CATIA V5 or similar CAD programs,
  • Proficient in technical English,
  • Team player and experienced in interdisciplinary projects,
  • Analytical thinker, results-oriented, with a risk management approach,
  • Able to adapt to a demanding work pace,
  • We are looking for team members who have no restrictions on domestic and international travel.

Additional Qualifications That May Be a Preference:

  • Experience with structural analysis software (FEA, etc.),
  • Experience with hydraulic system simulation tools (Simcenter Amesim, Simulink, etc.),
  • Knowledge of metal and/or composite materials,
  • Experience working on weapon systems, ammunition, pylon or pod systems,
  • Having worked in test infrastructures and verification processes are additional qualifications that may be a preference.
