We are looking for teammates who will take part in the weapon systems projects to be developed for Aircraft within Baykar, in the selection of materials, coatings, production methods to be used in the production of the systems, and in the characterization of the trials to be carried out for the purpose of improving the system.

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or related fields,
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of ferrous alloys, steels, and aluminum alloys in aviation,
  • Experienced in coatings used in industrial applications and the aerospace sector,
  • Proficient in determining material selection criteria for design projects,
  • Experienced in material characterization methods,
  • Proficient in technical English,
  • Familiar with and capable of performing detailed literature reviews,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs,
  • Took an active role in teamwork and a technical project,
  • Able to work in coordination with other teams related to the area of responsibility,
  • Analytical thinking, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively using risk management approaches,
  • Ability to adapt to a high-paced work environment,
  • Strong professional ethics and discipline, with an openness to innovation and development,
  • High sense of responsibility, strong work ethic, and discipline,
  • No restrictions for domestic and international travel,

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with quenched steels, stainless steels, and structural steels,
  • Experience in working with aluminum alloys (2XXX, GXXX, 7XXX series),
  • Experience with polymers and sealing elements,
  • Knowledge of material testing standards (e.g., ASTM E8, ASTM E92, ASTM ElO, ASTM E466, ASTM EG0G, etc.),
  • Experience in selecting appropriate manufacturing methods based on design and material,
  • Experience with CAD software,
  • Full-cycle experience in design projects,
  • Experience with CATIA software,
  • Experience in writing and applying test procedures.

Job Description

  • Defining requirements and selecting appropriate materials for components designed for weapon systems and subsystems,
  • Identifying suitable surface modifications to improve the components' resistance to environmental conditions (e.g., corrosion, wear),
  • Monitoring production and characterization processes, and identifying solutions for issues (e.g., production errors, coating issues),
  • Researching the industry as needed to support the production processes,
  • Planning processes, preparing procedures, interpreting results, and reporting them as part of the responsibility matrix.
