Birimimiz

As the driving force of Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative, Baykar develops indigenous and nationally engineered high-technology Unmanned Aerial Vehicle systems, creating global impact through proven platforms. With our end-to-end engineering approach—from R&D to production—we continue to deliver groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of innovation.

The unmanned aerial vehicles and subsystems that are nationally and originally developed and manufactured by Baykar require the selection of the right materials and suppliers as a critical factor throughout R&D testing, design verification, production, and post-production processes. Developing systems in a cost-effective manner across their product life cycles directly contributes to long-term sustainability. Baykar’s Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (SATY) unit is responsible for executing the company’s operations within this scope. The unit’s activities include supporting the identification of materials to be used in systems, managing demand processes, and conducting purchasing operations.

The unit establishes a supplier pool capable of offering the most competitive prices and terms and conducts its operations in collaboration with these suppliers. The Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Specialist takes appropriate actions to secure the supply chain in accordance with the criticality of goods and services. Throughout these processes, close collaboration with internal stakeholders—such as engineering teams, finance and accounting, logistics, and distribution—is required. Therefore, the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Specialist must possess strong internal relationship and stakeholder management skills.

The unit also plays an active role in the quality improvement process by defining target quality performance levels and monitoring performance against these targets, thereby contributing to continuous improvement and the development of suppliers.
