Our Unit: 

Project Management Unit; within Baykar Technology, this unit carries out the planning, monitoring, coordination, and control activities of R&D projects; ensuring that projects progress in accordance with time, cost, scope, and quality objectives. In addition to project management activities, the unit also conducts system engineering studies, including requirements analysis, architectural definition, identification of interactions between subsystems, integration, and verification processes.

By integrating system engineering and project management disciplines, the unit ensures effective coordination among technical teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors throughout the entire lifecycle, from requirement to delivery. It aims to ensure that projects are carried out in a traceable, sustainable, and manageable manner in accordance with standards, processes, and documentation requirements specific to the defense and aerospace sector.

Position 1: Project Engineering

Position Objective:

The aim is to support the effective execution of projects in line with scope, schedule, and budget objectives; to monitor and report on project progress and to ensure coordination with relevant stakeholders. Contributes to the operation of project management processes in a standardized, transparent, and sustainable manner.

What awaits you?

• Supporting project managers in planning the scope, schedule, and budget of projects, and controlling completed activities,
• Taking an active role in cost and resource management processes,
• Identifying potential risks and deviations in the project process and contributing to taking necessary actions,
• Monitoring project progress and preparing progress reports,
• Communicating with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure coordination and monitoring of processes,
• Using project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.) for reporting and monitoring,
• Identifying improvement opportunities in project management processes and proactively offering solutions.

General Qualifications:

• Preferably a graduate of engineering departments of universities,
• Preferably holding a Master's/Doctorate degree, 
• Knowledgeable in areas such as system analysis and design, operational feasibility, and requirements engineering,
•  Preferably familiar with standards such as STANAG 4671, EMACC, ISO/IEC 15288, MIL-STD-461 G/H, MIL-STD-464 C/D, MIL-STD-704 E/F, MIL-STD-810 G/H,
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office,
• Fluent in English, 
• Analytical thinker, results-oriented, planned and solution-oriented, 
• Team player, strong communication skills, 
• Able to adapt to a demanding and flexible work pace, 
• No travel restrictions, 
• Residing in or able to reside in Istanbul.

Additional Qualifications That May Be Preferred:

• Experience in defense and aerospace projects
• Experience in project management in R&D projects
• Holding PMP certification

Position 2: Systems Engineering

Position Objective:

The system engineering lifecycle includes the planning and execution of requirements analysis, architectural design, verification, and integration processes. It contributes to the development of systems in accordance with operational needs, technical requirements, and industry standards.

What Awaits You?

• Conducting system-level requirements analysis, architectural design, and functional/performance evaluations,
• Executing planning and documentation processes in accordance with system engineering lifecycle processes,
• Ensuring compliance with standards such as STANAG 4671, EMACC, ISO/IEC 15288, MIL-STD-461 G/H, MIL-STD-464 C/D, MIL-STD-704 E/F, and MIL-STD-810 G/H,
• Contributing to requirements management processes and monitoring traceability,
• Analyzing interactions between subsystems and providing technical support for integration processes,
• Conducting decision support analyses within the framework of system engineering methodologies (trade-off, risk analyses, etc.),
• Developing system-level solutions by working in coordination with project teams.
