Piston Engine Design Engineer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering,
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the aviation, defense, or automotive industries,
  • Theoretical knowledge of piston engines,
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD modeling programs (preferably CATIA),
  • Preferably experienced in piston engine design projects in similar industries (automotive, defense, aerospace, industrial, etc.),
  • Strong theoretical background in mechanical design and mechanics of materials,
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and measurement methods,
  • Team-oriented and collaborative,
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.


Job Description

  • Carrying out mechanical design activities for piston engine projects developed for use in unmanned aerial vehicles,
  • Designing in line with the technical requirements of the project and taking responsibility for system and subsystem design,
  • Creating and supporting the development of 3D design models,
  • Improving mechanical designs in terms of quality, cost, weight, safety, and functionality from conceptual design to final product,
  • Evaluating materials and manufacturing methods to determine the most suitable design solutions,
  • Performing technical drawing checks and managing drawing releases,
  • Ensuring timely delivery of projects in accordance with project timelines and constraints,
  • Preparing the necessary technical documentation,
  • Ensuring seamless technical integration with suppliers,
  • Collaborating with other disciplines such as materials, manufacturing, structural analysis, etc.,
  • Supporting ongoing activities in accordance with project requirements and processes,
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during testing or in the field,
  • Participating in the preparation and updating of procedures, standards, and practical documentation.
