Piston Engine Design Engineer
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering,
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the aviation, defense, or automotive industries,
- Theoretical knowledge of piston engines,
- Advanced knowledge of CAD modeling programs (preferably CATIA),
- Preferably experienced in piston engine design projects in similar industries (automotive, defense, aerospace, industrial, etc.),
- Strong theoretical background in mechanical design and mechanics of materials,
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and measurement methods,
- Team-oriented and collaborative,
- Strong communication skills,
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Job Description
- Carrying out mechanical design activities for piston engine projects developed for use in unmanned aerial vehicles,
- Designing in line with the technical requirements of the project and taking responsibility for system and subsystem design,
- Creating and supporting the development of 3D design models,
- Improving mechanical designs in terms of quality, cost, weight, safety, and functionality from conceptual design to final product,
- Evaluating materials and manufacturing methods to determine the most suitable design solutions,
- Performing technical drawing checks and managing drawing releases,
- Ensuring timely delivery of projects in accordance with project timelines and constraints,
- Preparing the necessary technical documentation,
- Ensuring seamless technical integration with suppliers,
- Collaborating with other disciplines such as materials, manufacturing, structural analysis, etc.,
- Supporting ongoing activities in accordance with project requirements and processes,
- Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during testing or in the field,
- Participating in the preparation and updating of procedures, standards, and practical documentation.
