Study on the Fatigue Test Setup for the Munitions Dispensing System

Yüksek İrtifa

Talent Program

Within the scope of the fatigue tests to be conducted for domestic munition release systems, the objective is to evaluate the life characteristics of the system, identify fatigue-critical components, and obtain the foundational data required for maintenance planning.

Throughout the project, the behavior of system components will be examined utilizing a test setup; wear and damage formation mechanisms will be evaluated to determine maintenance and periodic inspection intervals. Through these initiatives, the ultimate goal is to contribute to the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of the system.

Criteria and Expectations

  • The capability to design the fixture and drive system architecture for a fatigue test setup that accurately represents the operational load conditions of munition release systems.
  • The ability to examine and analyze the fatigue behavior and critical stress regions of system components under repetitive loading.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for establishing the measurement monitoring and data acquisition infrastructure to be utilized during the testing processes.
  • The ability to conduct post-test material characterization tests and analyses on critical components to perform comprehensive system life and reliability evaluations.
  • Openness to receiving training and a strong drive for self-development in areas such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), hydraulic/electromechanical drive systems, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
