Engine Systems - Gear Design Engineer
Qualifications
- BSc in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering,
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mechanical design and mechanics of materials,
- Proficiency in at least one solid modelling and gear design programme is required,
- A strong theoretical background in mechanical design is also necessary,
- Prior experience in gear and power transmission systems is highly desirable,
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is a must,
- Able to use engineering tools and systems effectively,
- Strong problem solving skills,
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team,
- Proficient in reporting technical outputs in accordance with project procedures and policies,
- Result oriented and analytical thinker,
- Has the ability to think in three dimensions,
- Inclined to teamwork,
- Effective communication skills,
Job Description
- Responsible for designing mechanical accessory systems and power transmission groups used in aerial platforms,
- You will be responsible for designing the gears in the power group,
- You will be responsible for the mechanical design required to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, optimal weight, and functionality in the product development process,
- You will be responsible for creating documents that define shop drawings, assembly requirements, and quality control standards,
- You will be responsible for designing special fixtures and apparatus required for Prototype Test and Assembly processes,
- Evaluate any deviations that occur during part production, assembly, and testing processes in both prototype and mass production stages, and follow the compliance processes.
