Engine Systems Engineer

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduated from universities with degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering,
  • Knowledgeable about the design, production, and test qualification processes of aerospace products,
  • Familiar with the operating principles and components of gas turbine engines,
  • Experienced in 3D modeling programs (preferably CATIA),
  • Knowledgeable about geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T),
  • Technically proficient and knowledgeable in technical English, with an understanding of aerospace and space standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL, SAE),
  • Capable of using general engineering tools and programs (e.g., MS Office),
  • Up-to-date with industry developments and possesses an innovative mindset,
  • Able to interpret analysis and test data and use it as design input,
  • Able to work in coordination with other teams related to their responsibilities,
  • Possesses effective communication skills and is a team player,
  • For male candidates, no military service obligation remaining for at least 2 years,
  • Residing in or able to reside in Istanbul

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering from an accredited university,
  • Knowledge and experience with flight safety and certification regulations such as MIL-STD-810H, RTCA-DO-160G, SAE-ARP-4754, JSGS-87231A, MIL-E-5007, CS-E 14 CFR Part 33, and AC 33,
  • Preferably have at least 2 years of relevant work or project experience that aligns with the job,
  • Experience with requirement management and engineering tools (e.g., IBM DOORS) is preferred,
  • Relevant certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent,
  • Experience with gas turbine engines and/or in the aerospace sector.

We are seeking team members for the position of “Engine Systems Engineer” with these qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The following assignments will be made considering project dynamics;

  • Developing and managing the engine system architecture, and defining the relationships between architectural components,
  • Conducting risk analyses, feasibility assessments, requirements definition, design solution identification, and technical planning,
  • Tracking the implementation of requirements and providing feedback and support to technical teams,
  • Keeping requirements up-to-date by researching current standards and literature,
  • Managing qualification and standardization activities for product systems,
  • Performing technical risk management, interface management, configuration management, technical data management, decision analysis, and technical evaluations,
  • Preparing necessary technical documentation and reports, and maintaining records.
