Engine Accessories Design Engineer

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduates from universities in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering,
• Theoretical background in mechanical design, material mechanics, and construction,
• Theoretical background in the strength of static and rotating components, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics,
• Theoretical knowledge in hydraulic valves, pumps, transfer lines, power transmission systems, and gas turbines,
• Experience in 3D modeling programs (preferably CATIA),
• Knowledgeable about the principles of gas turbine engine systems, component design, manufacturing, and assembly,
• Technical proficiency and technical English skills sufficient to understand aerospace and aviation standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL, SAE),
• Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T),
• Proficient in general engineering tools and programs (e.g., MS Office),
• Capable of keeping up with industry developments and possessing an innovative mindset,
• Ability to work in coordination with other teams related to responsibilities,
• Effective communication skills and team-oriented,
• For male candidates, must not have military obligations or must have completed at least 2 years of military service,
• Resident in or able to relocate to Istanbul.

PREFERABLY

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering,
• Knowledge and experience in the architecture of gas turbine engines (preferably military), including lubrication, fuel, control, or power systems,
• Experience in mechanical power transmission and sealing,
• Knowledge and experience with oil or fuel pumps, heat exchangers, generators, hydraulic valves, or similar components,
• At least 2 years of previous job or project experience related to the role,
• Knowledge and experience in GT&T (ASME Y14.5) and technical drawing,
• Experience with CATIA design modules (Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Generative Sheetmetal Design, Drafting, Functional Tolerancing & Dimensioning),
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Machining, Casting, Welding, Plastic Forming, Additive Manufacturing, Composite Manufacturing, etc.) and ability to design according to selected methods.

We are seeking team members for the position of “Engine Accessories Design Engineer” with the above qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design units and components for engine lubrication, fuel, control, and power systems,
• Design components such as Hydraulic Pumps, Valves, Hydraulic Actuators, Fuel Metering Units, etc.,
• Prepare and maintain design documentation,
• Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing necessary for part manufacturing.
