Baykar's domestically and uniquely produced UAVs demonstrate the following results: For R&D testing, design continuity, production, and completion of production, the selection of the right materials and suppliers is critically important. The cost-effective development of systems throughout their product lifecycles directly contributes to their sustainability. Baykar's Procurement Unit executes these capabilities in its operations. Within the scope of its activities, the unit provides support in defining the materials to be used in the systems, manages demand processes, and conducts procurement operations.

The unit creates and maintains a pool of suppliers that will provide the best prices and conditions. The Procurement Engineer takes appropriate steps to secure the supply chain according to the criticality of goods and services. In these processes; Electrical engineers worked with internal users such as finance-accounting, logistics, and supply. Therefore, the Procurement Engineer must possess the ability to manage relationships within the company.

The unit also ensures the inclusion of quality within the departments, with contributions from supplier departments, by defining target quality performance levels and then monitoring performance against those targets.

Pozisyonun Amacı

A Procurement Engineer primarily manages the procurement of needed products or services, determining which supplier/subcontractor to choose, under what conditions, and in terms of meeting specific requirements. Additionally, they are involved in supplier/subcontractor relationship management and process improvement activities within this procurement process.

• Procurement of materials and equipment compliant with military and aviation standards in line with production plans, taking into account condition, price and delivery times.
• Identifying suitable suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating their production and quality capabilities, and monitoring subcontractor approval processes.
• Conducting cost analysis for materials to be procured in coordination with production and R&D teams and evaluating their manufacturability/suppliability.
• Organizing the logistics operation of procured materials, monitoring and managing customs clearances.
• Tracking payments and deliveries, periodically updating and reporting on the company's own operations on the ERP system.
• Managing supplier relationships, tracking and resolving nonconformities related to the supply process or materials, and planning/monitoring necessary corrective/preventive actions.

Genel Nitelikler

• Graduated from engineering programs at universities with a national university entrance ranking within the top 60,000
• Have at least 5 years of experience in material or equipment procurement for mass production processes at supplier/manufacturer companies in industries such as aerospace and automotive, covering at least one of the following procurement groups:
  • Machining, Composite Manufacturing, Mechanical Assembly, Laser Cutting, Welding, Surface Treatment, and Secondary Processes
  • Electronic Circuit Components, Wiring Components, Ready-Made Units, and RF Equipment
  • Information Technology Components, Calibration Equipment, Production and Testing Devices, Machinery and Equipment, Maintenance Materials, and Production Hand and Measuring Tools
  • Metal or Chemical Raw Materials, Laboratory Supplies, Fastening and Sealing Components, Motion System Components, Engines, and Peripheral Components
• Possess knowledge of manufacturing techniques and the ability to review and evaluate technical data packages (technical drawings, interface control documents, and technical specifications)
• Have experience in cost analysis processes
• Have knowledge of import and customs procedures
• Demonstrate strong follow-up skills and a high sense of responsibility
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
• Have advanced English language proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
• Have strong analytical and presentation skills and be proficient in office and project management software
• Possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
