Our Unit:

Baykar’s Business Development (BD) Unit is a customer focused department driving strategic growth by maintaining and building relationships with Government’s customers through-out the world involved in opportunities for Baykar’s UAV products. 

We lead global expansion strategies, penetrates new countries through market analysis and feasibility studies, and builds sales pipelines via negotiations and alliances. The unit collaborates cross-functionally with technical and product teams to align strategies and development to enhance product volume in the market.

Baykar’s Business Development Unit is actively engaged with customers and partner companies, consistently addressing end-user requirements and tailoring them to optimal system solutions.

 

Purpose of the Position:

The BD Specialist responsibility is to identify, shape and direct pursuit of key business opportunities required to grow Baykar’s UAV footprint in the relevant counties.

The candidate will be responsible for influencing and capturing all regional customer requirements. Position promotes current products’ capabilities as well as recommending the development of products or product enhancements expected to result in profitable business growth.

Serves as the capture manager for related regional pursuits, and identifies key stake holders and partners in the region. This also includes definition of service and support methodologies as well as Industrial partners for Technology transfer where required. The BD Specialist is responsible for developing strategy for key pursuits and managing the hand-off of business opportunities to the operational unit. 

Attend/Organize Defence-oriented tradeshows in territory.

Directs activities in the field to achieve territorial sales goals in line with company plans.

  • Lead discussion and business development processes 
  • Follow action items of each country
  • Lead development strategy of each country based on the BD strategical plan
  • Prepare financial and technical proposal based on requirement of End User
  • Teaming work with technical teams for preparation of Request For Information
  • Participate and coordinate all events related to responsible countries 
  • Responsible for coordinating delegation visit in Baykar premises 
  • Intend to customer visit and also to all events in which the responsible will be assigned 
  • Follow and fill units KPI
  • Update and prepare all tools such as presentation, report and analyse

 

General Qualifications:

  • Preferably a graduate of Industrial Engineering from a Faculty of Engineering
  • Being able to travel without any restriction 
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar position and in B2G environment 
  • Experience in a similar activity area as aerospace or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are necessary
  • Being Fluent in English is mandatory
  • Second language is a selection criterion, e.g., SPANISH, ARABIC, FRENCH 
  • Project Management experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrating networking capabilities
  • High level negotiation capabilities
  • Market analyses and Geopolitics risks awareness 
  • Resilience to pressure
