Within the scope of this project, which focuses on air turbine starters utilized in aviation propulsion systems, the objective is to research innovative design and manufacturing approaches. Prospective candidates will establish a comprehensive system design guideline by executing the necessary engineering analyses and manufacturing optimizations. Ultimately, they will take an active role in the production of a physical product that fully meets all specified requirements.

Throughout the process, the primary aim is for candidates to gain hands-on experience with innovative manufacturing methods and to acquire robust capabilities in engine subsystem design.

Criteria and Expectations

  • Availability to participate in the program for a minimum of 3.5 days per week.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in 3D design and engineering analysis software.
  • Strong proficiency in fundamental engineering sciences, including strength of materials, machine elements, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, and materials science.
  • Ability to utilize MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively and at a professional level.
  • Possessing an analytical and highly innovative mindset.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to flexible working conditions.
