Investment Casting Manufacturing Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related degree,
  • Ability to work in shifts,
  • Ability to read technical drawings,
  • Preferably two years of experience in investment casting process,
  • Having comprehensive knowledge an proficiency in investment casting mettalurgy,
  • Having comprehensive knowledge in solidification theory and phase solutions,
  • Competent in addressing casting defects and implementing solutions,
  • Ability to use CATIA software at a fundamental level,
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office softwares,
  • Advanced level of weitten and spoken English,
  • Advanced level of technical English,
  • Having knowledge of ASTM, SAE, AMS, MIL and related spocifications,
  • For male candidates, not being attached to military service for at least 2 years,
  • Ability to reside in İstanbul,
  • Having experience of using general engineering tools and softwares,
  • Ability work in coordinance with other teams on his/her area of responsibility,
  • Having strong communication skills and adaptation to team work,

We are looking for a “Investment Casting Manufacturing Engineer” teammate having qualifications given above. 

 

WORK DESCRIPTION:

Considering the project dynamics and division of tasks, the following assignments will be made:

  • Planning, monitoring and supervision of the investment casting process.
  • Evaluation and improvement of casting designs to enchance manufacturability and product quality,
  • Development, tracking and validation of production planning and investment casting technical documentation,
  • Investigation of the underlying causes of machinery and equipment related errors, detecting the source of the error through problem solving techniques and implementation of corrective actions aimed at their resolution,
  • Investigation of the underlying causes of casting defects, implementation of corrective actions aimed at their resolution.
  • Inspection of foundry equipment, planning and controlling of the equipment maintenance.
  • Ensuring the continuity and improvement of the investment casting process through continuous monitoring and data analysis.
  • Continuous review and updating of the casting process. 
  • Training and guidance of the foundry personnel.
  • Implementation of quality control procedures and adherence to incestment casting quality standarts.
  • Providing guidance on foundry safety and environmental compliance.
  • Adapting investment casting processes to meet the requirements of design engineers.
  • Researching the state-of-the-art investment casting processes and following the current studies and specifications in this field.
