Control, Navigation and Modelling Engineer
Job Description
As Light Platforms department at Baykar, we are responsible for the development of all software and hardware R&D processes for lightweight unmanned aerial vehicle platforms (such as Kemankeş, Kemankeş 2, Kalkan etc.) that are capable of performing reconnaissance, attack, surveillance, and similar missions. We are looking for team members who will be responsible of,
- Development of low-and high-level control algorithms, performing stability analysis, enhancing flight capabilities, and enabling formation flight and guidance capabilities,
- Development of real-time sensor fusion algorithms to reduce dependency on external sensors on aerial vehicles,
- Development of 6-degree-of-freedom hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop mathematical models, and their validation using flight data and testing,
- Development of autopilot software, testing in simulation and flight environments, and analysis of flight data.
General Qualifications;
- Candidates with at least a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Aerospace and Aeronautics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar fields are required,
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environtment and flexible working hours,
- Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about flight dynamics and aviation,
- Proficient in Matlab and Simulink,
- Strong foundation in Mathematics and Physics, preferably in signal processing, linear algebra, vector/matrix operations, trigonometry, coordinate transformations, statistics, and Classical Physics,
- Team-oriented, capable of working independently, and highly self-motivated,
- Research-oriented and responsible,
- Skilled in modelling dynamics and developing controllers for linear and nonlinear systems, and/or capable of further developing expertise in this area,
- Good technical English skills for writing and reading technical reports and documentation,
- Proficient in Office software.
Preferred Qualifications;
- Knowledge of GIT-based version control systems,
- Has participated in team projects involving autonomous vehicles during university education.
For those interested in the field of Control Engineering;
- Having knowledge in control theory, system dynamics, mathematical modelling,
- Implemented control algorithms on real-time systems,
- Ability to use the C/C++ programming language,
- Having knowledge in fixed or rotary wing aircraft flight mechanics
- Having knowledge in Guidance and trajectory tracking algorithms,
- Having knowledge in modern control algorithms,
- Having knowledge in system identification and optimization algorithms.
For those interested in the field of Navigation Engineering;
- Implemented estimation algorithms on real-time systems,
- Having knowledge in inertial/global navigation systems and related sensors, preferably in aviation,
- Having knowledge in signal processing, frequency-based filters,
- Having knowledge in probability and statistical filters (Least Square, Kalman etc.),
- Analysis of real-time sensor data and having knowledge in sensor fusion,
- Ability to use the C/C++ programming language,
For those interested in the field of Modelling Engineering;
- Having knowledge in aerodynamic models and equation of motion for aircrafts,
- Having knowledge in software-and hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems,
