At Baykar, the pioneering force of the National Technology Initiative, we develop domestic and national high-tech Unmanned Aerial Vehicle systems. With proven platforms, we create an impact on a global scale. From R&D to production, our end-to-end engineering approach allows us to execute projects that push boundaries.

Our unit develops advanced engine technologies, managing design, materials, manufacturing, quality, and testing processes through an integrated approach.

Purpose of the Position
We are looking for team members who can design control algorithms for internal combustion engines (piston and gas turbine) using model-based approaches, perform simulation tests of the designed algorithms (MIL, SIL, HIL), convert the models into machine code via the Embedded Coder process, and calibrate them on test systems.

What Awaits You?

  • Developing system control algorithms using model-based methods,
  • Performing Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests,
  • Conducting calibration tests on engine test systems,
  • Executing high-level software calibrations for engines.

General Qualifications

  • Graduated from universities in Aeronautics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Control and Automation Engineering,
  • Strong theoretical background in control algorithms and control software,
  • Interested in aviation engines, turbo machinery, and piston engines,
  • Strong in data analysis,
  • Advanced technical English proficiency,
  • Able to prepare reports in accordance with company procedures clearly and professionally,
  • Preferably proficient in at least one programming language (MATLAB, Python, etc.),
  • Open to innovations and committed to continuous self-improvement,
  • Strong communication skills and capable of working individually or in teams,
  • Able to develop new approaches to problem-solving and think analytically,
  • Able to adapt to a high-paced work environment.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Embedded Coder process,
  • Knowledge of code development standards (DO-178, DO-331),
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and diagnostic action algorithms,
  • Experienced with software test automation programs,
  • Previous experience working with internal combustion engine systems,
  • Experience in calibration processes on engine test systems,
  • Proficient in at least one programming language or strong in data processing.
