Hardware Design Engineer - Power Systems
General Qualifications
- Graduated from universities with a degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering,
- Experience in analog and microcontroller-based circuit/system design,
- Experience in power distribution circuit design and signal/thermal analysis,
- Experience in semiconductor technology and circuit modeling,
- Experience in power distribution system control methods,
- Preferably experience in main power distribution systems and control,
- Proficient in using programs suitable for basic architectural design blocks,
- Experience in setting up test rigs (oscilloscope, power supply, load bank, etc.), planning test processes, and reporting,
- Preferably knowledgeable about basic configuration management processes,
- Analytical thinker, open to development, willing to learn, and proficient in problem-solving,
- At least two years of experience in computer-aided multilayer PCB design that has been applied in practice,
- Preferably knowledgeable about electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC),
- Proficient in at least two of the following software tools: Altium Designer, MATLAB, Simulink, PSIM, and LTSPICE,
- Knowledgeable about communication protocols such as RS232/422/485, CAN-Bus, SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet,
- Preferably experienced in design according to military or civilian standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620,
- Able to work under high pressure and adapt to flexible working hours,
- Proficient in English (speaking, writing, and understanding),
- No travel restrictions,
- Must be residing in or willing to relocate to Istanbul,
- Enthusiastic to work within a dynamic and young R&D team in the aviation field, where engineering is applied at the highest level, with a spirit of teamwork.
Job Description
- Perform hardware design of the main power system and distribution systems for UAV platforms within Baykar,
- Plan and execute the testing processes of components used in power distribution systems,
- Carry out hardware improvement activities in power distribution systems,
- Develop autonomous control algorithms for power distribution systems,
- Perform power analysis in the flight-test process of UAV platforms (according to different test forms),
- Determine the electrical power requirements of UAV platforms according to different test forms and perform capability and sufficiency analysis of the power architecture,
- Design and implement architectural changes to improve system reliability, considering various failure scenarios of UAV platforms,
- Conduct configuration tracking for UAV platforms, define and design power system variables according to configuration needs,
- Ensure effective coordination with other software, mechanical, production, integration, and systems management teams.
