Gear Manufacturing Technician

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduated from a Vocational School or Technical High School in Machine Technology, Machining, Mechatronics, or related fields,
• Knowledge and experience in gear manufacturing and CNC-controlled gear grinding machines (preferably Gleason brand),
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the industry,
• Knowledge of technical drawings and tolerance systems (ISO, DIN, ASME), measurement reporting, and gear quality classes,
• Proficient in using measurement and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gear scanning devices, etc.),
• Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in gear grinding parameters, grinding wheel selection, and wheel balancing,
• Preferably able to use CAD/CAM or CNC editor programs (FANUC, Siemens, NUM, etc.) at a basic level,
• Able to contribute to process improvement and production optimization,
• Careful and meticulous, with attention to working on precision measurements,
• Able to work in shifts,
• For male candidates, completion of military service,
• Team-oriented and able to take an active role in the field.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Carrying out production activities on CNC gear grinding and gear cutting machines,
• Preparing tools, fixtures, and apparatus before production,
• Machining parts on the machine in accordance with technical drawings,
• Ensuring the required surface quality and profile accuracy on the gear grinding machine,
• Performing intermediate and final inspections using measurement devices,
• Verifying the conformity of produced parts to quality criteria and providing feedback in case of nonconformities,
• Performing daily and periodic maintenance of the machine,
• Recording production data in the system and monitoring process times,
• Maintaining an orderly and safe working environment by adhering to occupational health and safety rules.
