Analysis Simulation and Modeling Engineer

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduated from universities with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
  • Possess a theoretical background in strength, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and materials.
  • Experienced in Finite Element Analysis (preferably ANSYS) programs.
  • Proficient in using engineering software such as ANSYS, MATLAB, and CAD tools.
  • Knowledgeable about the operating principles of gas turbine engines and the operating conditions of components such as high temperature, vibration, and mechanical strength.
  • Familiar with oil and fuel systems of gas turbine engines.
  • Technically proficient in understanding aviation and aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL, SAE) and possesses technical English skills.
  • Capable of using general engineering tools and programs (e.g., MS Office).
  • Keeps up with industry developments and has an innovative mindset.
  • Able to work collaboratively with other teams related to their responsibilities.
  • Possesses effective communication skills and is inclined towards teamwork.
  • For male candidates, has no military obligations for at least 2 years.
  • Resides or is willing to relocate to Istanbul.

PREFERABLY

  • Holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
  • Has at least 2 years of relevant work or project experience similar to the position.
  • Knowledgeable in structural analysis, structural optimization, and load distribution of engine components.
  • Familiar with rotor dynamics topics such as Campbell diagrams, Bode diagrams, critical speeds, and nodal points.
  • Able to model oil and fuel systems including components such as pumps, valves, and filters.
  • Experienced in analysis topics such as multibody dynamics and fluid-structure interaction.
  • Experienced with thermal, static, modal, and harmonic modules in Finite Element Analysis programs.

We are seeking a team member with the above qualifications for the position of Analysis, Simulation, and Modeling Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Based on project dynamics, the following responsibilities will be assigned:

  • Conduct analyses of engines and engine components during the conceptual design processes of developing engine architectures and guide detailed design work.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses of engine components based on critical loading conditions.
  • Ensure the modeling of oil and fuel systems with the help of simulation programs.
  • Prepare documentation for all analyses, simulations, and modeling work conducted.
  • Collaborate with design teams to create and improve engine components, ensuring they meet system-level requirements and performance targets.
  • Assist in validating system performance and identifying areas for improvement through analysis and test correlation.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for identifying potential risks in system design and operation, such as weight reduction, material changes, additional safety measures, and design modifications to ensure engine reliability and safety.
