Summer 2026 | Electrical Power Systems Development

Electrical Power Systems Development Job Description

The Electrical Power Systems Development Group is responsible for the electrical design, analysis, simulation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing processes for aircraft and ground system subcomponents, for which Baykar Technology Inc. conducts R&D activities. In this dynamic environment where technology and innovation intersect on every project, we work collaboratively with our expert engineers to both translate theory into practice and contribute to solutions that shape the future of aviation.

The teams and areas of work within the Electrical Power Systems Development Group are as follows:

Battery Technologies

The team is responsible for the development, analysis, and optimization of battery and charging systems for aircraft. The Battery Technologies Team is working to design, test, and integrate reliable, high-performance, and long-lasting battery and charging systems for future aircraft. Within this scope, R&D studies are conducted on various battery chemistries and technologies, including the electrical design of battery modules and packs. Furthermore, work is underway on the development/modeling of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and charging systems, and the development of SoX algorithms.

Smart Power Distribution

This team is responsible for the design and development of aircraft electrical power architectures. This team designs analog and microcontroller-based electronic hardware for power control, power distribution, and electrical protection systems, along with simulation, testing, analysis, and verification processes. In addition to the hardware design process, we also conduct power architecture analysis, power system electronic control system design, field fault tracking, and application documentation processes for each aircraft platform. The design and implementation of a reliable power system tailored to aircraft requirements is meticulously implemented within the framework of the theoretical foundation provided by engineering education and military aviation standards.

Power Converters

In the aviation sector, the power electronics field requires a wide range of avionics product designs. Baykar's Power Converters Teams develop DC/DC, DC/AC, AC/DC, and AC/AC converters, as well as battery chargers, for the aviation sector. Innovative products are designed specifically for aircraft by conducting intensive theoretical studies, detailed simulations, comprehensive product research, and application circuit designs.

Ground Electronic Systems Development

The Ground Electronic Systems Development Team handles the design, analysis, testing, and integration of the electronic hardware of the Ground Control Station, Ground Data Terminals, ground support equipment, generators, and simulation systems used for the control and command of aircraft systems. The team also handles the design and development of the ground systems' electrical power architecture, including power architecture analysis.

Project Management

The Project Management Team coordinates all activities within the Electrical Power Systems Development Group with all team members within the company, including the planning and monitoring of R&D and revision work, and the documentation of these activities. In addition, the team coordinates the relevant units within the group, including quality management, configuration management, engineering change management, and requirements management.

Application Criteria

Applicants are expected to apply from universities studying or recently graduated from Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, and Mechatronics Engineering departments. Applications from high school/associate degree students and graduates of other undergraduate programs will not be considered.
