Spring 2026 Semester | Engine Technologies - Analysis

The Engine Technologies unit is responsible for CFD, performance, thermal, structural, and vibration analyses of gas turbine engines used in unmanned aerial vehicle systems developed by Baykar Technology. The activities carried out under the analysis disciplines within the Engine Technologies unit are as follows:

        CFD:

  • Carries out conceptual studies of aerothermal designs in engine systems and performs 2D and 3D analyses of these designs. Interprets analysis results and documents the work.

        Performance:

  • Performs 0D and 1D system designs and analyses to support 3D conceptual designs of engine systems. Responsible for system simplification and modeling studies.

        Turboprop Structural Analysis:

  • Performs basic load analyses for engine structural components,
  • Conducts modeling and simulation studies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA),
  • Carries out linear/non-linear static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses for subcomponents of the turboprop engine such as the cold section, hot section, and accessory systems,
  • Expected to work in coordination with different engineering disciplines and report and present the studies conducted.

        Turbofan Structural Analysis:

  • Identifies critical loading conditions and requirements for turbofan engine components considering high maneuverability scenarios,
  • Guides detailed design processes by performing component analyses during the conceptual design phase of the developing turbofan architecture,
  • Conducts thermal, structural, and dynamic analyses of components such as the fan, compressor, turbine, and afterburner, along with fatigue and life analyses,
  • Performs dynamic analyses of bearing systems, models aviation bearings, determines stiffness, and conducts modal and rotor dynamic analyses.

Students currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, or Automotive Engineering programs who are interested in interning within the Engine Technologies unit at our company are welcome to apply.
