Electrical Power Systems Development
The Electrical Power Systems Development Group at Baykar Technology Inc. is responsible for the electrical design, analysis, simulation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing processes of aerial vehicles and ground systems developed through R&D activities. In this dynamic environment, where technology and innovation intersect in every project, the aim is to work with our expert engineers to transform theory into practice and contribute to solutions that shape the future of aviation.
Within the Electrical Power Systems Development Group, there are several teams working in different areas:
This team is responsible for the development, analysis, and optimization of battery and charging systems for aerial vehicles. They design, test, and integrate reliable, high-performance, and long-lasting battery and charging systems into aerial vehicles. Their work covers R&D on different battery chemistries and technologies, electrical design of battery modules and packs, development and modeling of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and charging systems, as well as SoX algorithm development.
This team designs and develops the electrical power architecture of aerial vehicles. Their work includes analog and microcontroller-based electronic hardware design for power control, power distribution, and electrical protection systems, along with related simulation, testing, analysis, and verification processes. They also perform power architecture analysis for each aerial platform, design power system electronic control systems, monitor field failures, and prepare implementation documentation. All these processes are carried out meticulously in line with engineering fundamentals and military aviation standards.
The field of power electronics in aviation requires a wide range of avionic product design. The Power Converters teams at Baykar develop DC/DC, DC/AC, AC/DC, and AC/AC converters as well as battery chargers. Their work involves theoretical studies, detailed simulations, product research, and circuit design to create innovative solutions tailored to aerial vehicles.
This team handles the design, analysis, testing, and integration of the electronic hardware of Ground Control Stations, Ground Data Terminals, ground support equipment, generators, and simulation systems used for the control and command of aerial systems. They are also responsible for the design and development of the electrical power architecture of ground systems, including power architecture analysis.
This team ensures coordination between group personnel and all teams within the company regarding activities carried out by the Electrical Power Systems Development Group. They are responsible for planning and tracking R&D and revision activities, managing documentation, and coordinating with relevant departments on quality management, configuration management, engineering change management, and requirements management.
