JOB SUMMARY

Baykar’s Business Development (BD) Manager is a mid-level customer focused position expected to build and maintain relationships with Governments customers through-out the region involved in opportunities for Baykar’s UAV products. The BD Managers responsibility is to identify, shape and direct pursuit of key business opportunities required to grow the Baykar’s UAV footprint in the region.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is responsible for influencing and capturing all regional customer requirements. Position promotes current products’ capabilities as well as recommending the development of products or product enhancements expected to result in profitable business growth.
Serves as the capture manager for related regional pursuits, and identifies key stake holders and partners in the region. This also includes definition of service and support methodologies as well as Industrial partners for Technology transfer where required. The BD Manager is responsible for developing strategy for key pursuits and managing the hand-off of business opportunities to the operational unit. 
Attend/Organize Defence-oriented tradeshows in territory.
Directs activities in the field to achieve territorial sales goals in line with company plans.
 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Will also stay engaged with and communicate with Baykar Program Managers as they direct the execution of existing business to ensure we “keep it sold” and position ourselves for follow-on business with existing customers. Expected to spend significant time on the phone networking and outside of the office traveling to meeting with customers and others. There is potential to re-locate to the region as business demand grows

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred BS Science, Engineering or related field
  • MBA is highly desirable.
     

SPECIALIZED SKILLS REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years of experience with aerospace equipment sales or equivalent with airborne surveillance experience
  • Desirable to have experience with UAV systems and subsytems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.Fluent English is mandatory, other languages are highly desirable, e.g. French, Arabic, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish.
  • Demonstrated networking capabilities among various military communities, e.g. users, acquisition officials and program lead’s in Defense.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Demonstrated understanding of key UAV technology and application of this technology to current and future customer missions
