Avionics Systems Development is the group within Baykar Teknoloji A.Ş. where electrical design, testing, and analysis activities of electronic equipment used in aerial vehicles are carried out as part of R&D efforts. The group consists of 6 different teams. Candidates apply through a single posting, and all teams conduct the evaluation jointly.
The design, testing, and analysis processes of electronic equipment for Pressure, Temperature, Fuel, and Flight Estimation sensor systems of aerial vehicles are carried out by the Sensor Technologies Development Team. In addition, the team is responsible for the design, testing, and analysis of sensitive sensor systems and high-speed sensor computers, including the measurement of environmental conditions such as temperature and icing that may occur inside and outside the aerial vehicle (Sensor Measurement Unit), the development of 9681 Radio systems and a domestic internal communication terminal, and the design of domestic SoC-MEMS.
The electronic hardware design, testing, analysis, fault tracking, and digital design processes of Flight Control Computers, Mission Computers, Navigation Computers, Artificial Intelligence Computers, and fuel management systems of aerial vehicles are carried out by the Computer Systems Development Team.
The Aerial Vehicle Imaging and Electromechanical Systems Development Team conducts the electronic hardware design, testing, analysis, and integration processes of cameras used to monitor the aerial vehicle and enhance environmental visibility. In addition, the team is responsible for the electronic hardware design, testing, and verification processes of electromechanical servo actuators and hydraulic systems.
This team is responsible for integrating Air-to-Air/Air-to-Ground guided munitions into aerial vehicles, executing avionics unit design and testing processes related to weapon systems in compliance with standards, and developing, analyzing, and testing electromechanical systems used between aerial vehicles and munition platforms. In addition to these activities, live and inert munition field tests are also carried out by the Weapon Electronic Systems Development Team.
The Electronic Architecture Systems Development Team is responsible for determining communication protocols used or planned to be used in aerial vehicles, performing the design, analysis, and simulation of grounding systems, analyzing fault currents occurring in grounding systems, determining lightning protection methods for aerial vehicles, and conducting interdisciplinary studies.
This team plays an active role in planning and executing the projects carried out by other technical teams within the Avionics Systems Development group. It anticipates potential issues that may arise in order to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and takes preventive measures accordingly, while also coordinating relevant teams within the group and across units. Additionally, the team ensures coordination between the group and related units in areas such as quality management, configuration management, engineering change management, and requirements management.
