Power Electronics Design Engineer

Qualifications

  • Graduated from Electrical or Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments of universities,
  • Preferably interested in the aviation sector, knowledgeable about power systems and power converters used in aviation applications,
  • Able to use laboratory equipment such as Test and Measurement Devices (Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Load Bank, Signal Generator, etc.), able to perform fault
  • analysis and make comments on faults in test processes,
  • Preferably knowledgeable about AC/AC, AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC power converters,
  • Preferably knowledgeable about at least two simulation programs such as Matlab, LTSpice, PSpice, etc.,
  • Able to conduct design, simulation, and product development activities for power electronics circuit topologies,
  • At least two years of experience in computer-aided PCB design,
  • Preferably competent in military or civil standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, DO-160 (Section 16-18),
  • Able to participate in test, documentation, field work stages of designed systems,
  • Able to adapt to flexible working hours within a busy work pace,
  • Analytical thinking, interpretation, and problem-solving skills,
  • Proficient in English,
  • Residing in or able to reside in Istanbul,
  • Responsible, able to contribute to maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team.

Job Description

  • Conducting studies on high-frequency switching power converters and control techniques,
  • Conducting studies on control and protection techniques of switching elements (Si, SiC, GaN, etc.) used in power electronic circuits,
  • Working on magnetic designs such as inductors, transformers, and EMI filters,
  • Participating in printed circuit board design processes for power electronic circuits,
  • Designing with analog and digital control methods,
  • Conducting thermal analysis studies of elements used in circuit designs,
  • Conducting tests of the studies, analyzing test results, and documenting them.
